Most expensive iPad 2 - Here comes the most expensive iPad 2, priced at a staggering £5 million! UK-based luxury gadget designer Stuart Hughes made it all possible. The Gold History Edition iPad 2, branded “undoubtedly world’s most unique gadget”, is made of solid gold, diamonds and T-Rex bone.
Its front frame is made from a 75-million-year-old Ammolite rock, which is arguably the rarest gemstone on earth. But perhaps the most mind-blowing feature of the Gold History Edition iPad 2 is sections of a 65-million-year-old T-Rex dinosaur’s thigh bone which were splintered and then shaved into the Ammolite.
It also comes encrusted with 12.5 carats of flawless diamonds, with a total of 53 individually set sparkling gems set in a solid 24-carat gold Apple iPad 2 logo. Its entire rear is made from 24-carat gold, bringing the total weight of the Gold History Edition iPad 2 to an impressive two kilogrammes.
But if you’d like to own the world’s most expensive iPad 2, you’d better get your order in quick – only a limited edition of two units will ever be made.
