Madonna said she's grateful that her heavy workload provides a distraction that keeps her going after her breakup with Guy Ritchie. She said she is sad about her personal life, but feels fortunate and blessed that she has the chance to do what she does in her life as a performer. It would be awful if she was just thinking about getting a divorce and had nothing to do, Madonna added.
The couple was granted a preliminary decree of divorce after 8 years of marriage.
